Morning, Afternoon, and Evening all,

It’s been another busy few weeks. New content has been released, and New Tech is in the pipeline. We’ve also onboarded three new global Institutions (two buy-side and one sell-side) onto the platform. We’ve even had our first interest come in from VC.

Three billion hours of TikTok per day

I came across two bits of data recently that took me by surprise.

One. Did you know people spend nearly 3 billion hours per day on TikTok? TikTok is a global phenomenon that provides many with pleasure. The App, of course, impacts productivity and learning.

The Second. Nearly 83% of all internet traffic is video.

The sheer size of these numbers took me by surprise.

This trend has significant implications for platforms aiming to produce engaging content, particularly in the financial analysis and investment sector. As attention spans shrink and competition for eyeballs intensifies, it becomes increasingly vital for our platform to adapt and create content that analysts not only wish to consume but find intellectually stimulating and actionable.

I’ve just started releasing this content ahead of the new investment analyst programs we are running in Q3 and Q4. We use several case studies on our programs to deliver and reinforce content. Personally, I think they are some of the most effective learning tools we run in class. Some of these cases are extended and can form the teaching structure over two to three days.

Each time we do these cases in class, I’m aware we are going through a lot of critical content. I also know that analysts don’t retain every word I say! So, we’ve produced (and will be releasing over the summer) several instructor-led case studies for you.

This week, we’ve added to our Private Equity / LBO library by releasing a full Sources and Uses of Funds build. The Sources and Uses of Funds are the engine of an LBO model. This part of the model provides the full picture of the deal's transaction and finance structures. We’ve got the full deal terms included here. Everything we need to produce the debt model. The entry and exit multiple assumptions and the full shopping list of what we need to do to execute the deal. It is the main part of the model you will revisit time and time again as you finesse the transaction structure so it fits with the operating cash flow profile of the company’s business model.
